The simple exercise that dramatically improves sales

Sometimes it's the simplest of activities that get the best results. This is one of those activities.

Write down what you want.

That’s it. Every day.

The trick is to write as though it's the end of the day, looking back at your acheivements.

Invest time, sit down with a blank slate and write about the results you've achieved

by the end

of the day, before you get started.

You’re not looking to write a task list, or a to do list. That won’t work. You need a narrative that describes, in specific detail, what it is you want. Write about your meetings and calls with clients; the emails, proposals, and materials you've written; the distractions you ignored; and the projects you made progress on.

Think it through like you've already got want you wanted. This prepares you psychologically. It programmes your brain for success. It sets things up so you can improvise and  navigate any twists and turns that happen during the day.

Do this consistently for a month and you’ll be amazed at how it changes your perspective. How you begin to filter out the noise and distractions. And how much faster you get the results you want.

Then you might want to extend the exercise further. Write about a week in advance, then a month, a quarter, and a complete year. Let me know how it goes.
