Some people don’t take feedback well.

Your intention doesn’t matter.
Your kindness is misread.
Your words bounce off.

Stop wasting your breath.
You don’t have their permission.
They’re not going to listen to you.

Even when you’ve been directly asked.
Even when what you said is valid.
It won’t be acted upon - ever.

The feedback is met with defensiveness:

- Excuses.
- Justifications.
- Counter examples.

On the other hand others embrace feedback.

They’re able to listen openly.
They’re looking to improve.
They’re open to change.

Asking deeper questions.
To understand what’s being said.
Taking what’s offered with humility.

Even when they don’t agree.
Even when it feels hurtful.
They look for better.

The feedback is met with gratitude:

- Reflection.
- Thanks.
- Action.

Which of these types are growth leaders?

The answer - in plain sight.
Invest in your best.
