Struggling to stay consistent with business development?

A friend reminded me: it’s not just about closing deals - that's the glory.
It’s about consistent habits - that's the grind.

This week, try a simple checklist to track some small actions.
These are things worth counting that move relationships forward:

📞 Real-time touchpoints (calls, voicemails, video snippets)
✉️ Personal follow-ups (emails, DMs, helpful links)
🗓 Meetings that happened—virtual or in person
🔁 Referrals or intros you gave or received
📝 Notes worth saving (in your CRM or just a spark of insight)

It’s not just “old school.”
It’s what still works.

Channels change.
People don’t.

And measurement beats guesswork - every time.
Now get off LinkedIn and do some work!

What's really going on

“ … all of us hold on tightly to many things we don’t really have.” This line from Patrick Rhone’s book - This Could Help - got me thinking about our attitudes toward pipelines, relationships, and services.

Think Different

I love it when there's a seemingly Unreasonable Agenda. The Apple Think Different campaign epitomised this. Just look at the change makers: Albert Einstein: Questioned absolute space-time. Bob Dylan: Reimagined song meanings poetically. Martin Luther King Jr.: Envisioned equality beyond segregation. Richard Branson: Ignored business conventions fearlessly.
