You want to have great meetings. But then people come in with different ideas and agendas ... that's not always easy.

Here are four simple tips to help you run meetings like a pro:

1️⃣ Talk to everyone beforehand
↳ Take a little time to get to know each person and their perspective.

2️⃣ Understand their goals
↳ Ask what they want to achieve during the meeting.

3️⃣ Be fair
↳ Treat everyone equally and make sure all voices are heard.

4️⃣ Explore options together
↳ Help the group consider all the possibilities before making a decision.

Follow these tips and you will:
⇥ Help your clients get more clarity.
⇥ Get better sales outcomes.
⇥ Build your reputation.
⇥ Reach decisions.

And don’t forget: dealing with conflicts and group dynamics is part of the job. The more you practice, the better you’ll get!

Think Different

I love it when there's a seemingly Unreasonable Agenda. The Apple Think Different campaign epitomised this. Just look at the change makers: Albert Einstein: Questioned absolute space-time. Bob Dylan: Reimagined song meanings poetically. Martin Luther King Jr.: Envisioned equality beyond segregation. Richard Branson: Ignored business conventions fearlessly.
