Prima Donnas drain your energy.

Prima Donnas drain your energy.
They walk into the room and make it theirs.

They hijack the agenda.
They make you smaller to feel big.
They steal your time, your focus, your conviction.

Why, oh why, do we still stick around?

Hoping being kind will fix it.
Hoping they’ll change.
Hoping we’re wrong.

Here’s the blunt truth:

If someone keeps making it about them...
it’s your job to make it less about them.

You don’t owe your energy to vampires who feed on it.

Don’t:
⇢ Argue or call them out directly.
⇢ Think you owe them your help.
⇢ Hope they’ll change over time.
⇢ Wait for a perfect excuse to exit.
⇢ Explain yourself or seek approval.
⇢ Feel guilty for just stepping back.

Do:
⇥ Recognise the signs early.
⇥ Disengage without drama.
⇥ Get out as soon as possible.
⇥ Prioritise your peace of mind.
⇥ Leave quietly and without fuss.
⇥ Respect your own boundaries.

This isn’t me being cold.
I’ve been there. I have scars.

Let’s be clear:
↳ You can still be kind.
↳ Just not at the cost of yourself … or your agenda.

Some people light you up.
Others dim the room.

Know the difference.
And move accordingly.

P.S.
Keep the checklist.
Read it when you’re doubting yourself.

You’re not being harsh.
You’re being free.
