The hidden cost of pointless meetings

Think about it.
Think hard about it.

Because every unproductive hour in a meeting
Is time stolen from the people you love.

Your calendar doesn’t need another pointless invite.
Your time is better spent driving impact, not idle talk.

Look at last week’s schedule. Which meetings:

#️⃣ Left roles and responsibilities unclear?
#️⃣ Started without a structured agenda?
#️⃣ Lacked ground-rules for discussion?
#️⃣ Ended without decisions or next steps?
#️⃣ Delivered an outcome below your pay-grade?

Any that did were a big 'ol waste of your time!

Stop saying yes to random invites.
Start demanding a productive process.

Rethink how you meet.

What's really going on

“ … all of us hold on tightly to many things we don’t really have.” This line from Patrick Rhone’s book - This Could Help - got me thinking about our attitudes toward pipelines, relationships, and services.

Think Different

I love it when there's a seemingly Unreasonable Agenda. The Apple Think Different campaign epitomised this. Just look at the change makers: Albert Einstein: Questioned absolute space-time. Bob Dylan: Reimagined song meanings poetically. Martin Luther King Jr.: Envisioned equality beyond segregation. Richard Branson: Ignored business conventions fearlessly.
