You’ve Hit Your Big Goal… Now What?

🎯 You've done it.
⛔️ And if you Stop now.
⚠️ There's a risk of stagnation.

Here's the trick I learnt coaching high achievers ...

Truth is:
↳ You’ve hit your milestone.
↳ The adrenaline from a big win is great.
↳ Without a next step even the best successes fade quickly.
↳ Staying still means losing momentum.
↳ That can lead to complacency.

What’s next?

🌊 Time to jump the river …

River Jumping = a concept from Dave Allan's book “What If?”
↳ Your next challenge = the river.
↳ Your old, safe methods = the banks
↳ You jumping = setting bold, new goals.

Here’s how you use it:

1️⃣ Your next stretch goal: Go for what feels slightly out of reach
- What’s the one goal you’ve been avoiding because it seems too big?
- Bigger goal—bigger growth.

2️⃣ Leaving the familiar for something bigger: Redefine success
- Push beyond what worked for you before.
- Expand into new markets, clients, or projects.
- Focus there—it’s usually worth chasing.

3️⃣ Taking risks: Experiment and Leap
- A stretch goal mean taking risks.
- Jump into new ideas.
- You could fail, but you’ll learn—and win in the long run.

🚀 What’s Next for You?
Are you playing it safe, or is it time to leap into something bigger?

What's really going on

“ … all of us hold on tightly to many things we don’t really have.” This line from Patrick Rhone’s book - This Could Help - got me thinking about our attitudes toward pipelines, relationships, and services.

Think Different

I love it when there's a seemingly Unreasonable Agenda. The Apple Think Different campaign epitomised this. Just look at the change makers: Albert Einstein: Questioned absolute space-time. Bob Dylan: Reimagined song meanings poetically. Martin Luther King Jr.: Envisioned equality beyond segregation. Richard Branson: Ignored business conventions fearlessly.
