5 Types of Thinking I've Noticed as a Coach

Content: Content: The daily details and minutiae of life (a.k.a. the "shit of life").
People: A subset of content, usually focused on issues.
Conceptual: Using ideas and frameworks for understanding.
Process: The ‘how to' workflow, methods, and steps to achieve specific outcomes.
Systems: Concerned with interactions and impact within a larger context.

But the 6th type of thinking is what I strive to achieve with my clients: Thinking about THEIR Thinking.

Why? Because this is where I've seen people break through mental constraints, unlocking higher levels of performance.

This type of thinking enables transformation, leading to significant personal and professional growth.

When was the last time you did some thinking about your thinking?

Think Different

I love it when there's a seemingly Unreasonable Agenda. The Apple Think Different campaign epitomised this. Just look at the change makers: Albert Einstein: Questioned absolute space-time. Bob Dylan: Reimagined song meanings poetically. Martin Luther King Jr.: Envisioned equality beyond segregation. Richard Branson: Ignored business conventions fearlessly.
