Which habit made me most productive during my sales career?

Asked this question recently ... Which habit made me most productive during my sales career?

Biggest by far was ruthless qualification. But not with the usual BANT type questions. They're were just table stakes. Better for me were:

-- Is the project idea worthwhile?
-- Do the potential rewards excite me?
-- Does the prospect's culture align with ours?
-- Are stakeholders open to improvement possibilities?
-- Will these types of stakeholders buy from my company?

Those were some of my criteria ... what are yours?

That's it.

What's really going on

“ … all of us hold on tightly to many things we don’t really have.” This line from Patrick Rhone’s book - This Could Help - got me thinking about our attitudes toward pipelines, relationships, and services.

Think Different

I love it when there's a seemingly Unreasonable Agenda. The Apple Think Different campaign epitomised this. Just look at the change makers: Albert Einstein: Questioned absolute space-time. Bob Dylan: Reimagined song meanings poetically. Martin Luther King Jr.: Envisioned equality beyond segregation. Richard Branson: Ignored business conventions fearlessly.
