Fruitless proposal writing.

1 thing you can do to save a shed-load of time.

And show leadership.

Set expectations early.

Right from the start make it clear you'll need to reach a mutual agreement on 6 things before writing a formal proposal:

→ outcomes
→ key results
→ value
→ risks
→ client resourcing (time, money, people)
→ decision criteria

It's not always easy to front-up to clients and request this.

But when you do it clearly signals your value as a professional

(You're an expert ... not a sales rep. or vendor)

Think Different

I love it when there's a seemingly Unreasonable Agenda. The Apple Think Different campaign epitomised this. Just look at the change makers: Albert Einstein: Questioned absolute space-time. Bob Dylan: Reimagined song meanings poetically. Martin Luther King Jr.: Envisioned equality beyond segregation. Richard Branson: Ignored business conventions fearlessly.
