Top performers set unreasonable expectations.

Top performers set unreasonable expectations.

For themselves. And others.

That’s a good thing because ...

I've seen unreasonable expectations lead to:

- Visionary goals that became reality.
- Higher standards and levels of performance.
- Working on what's possible, not what's predictable.
- Expensive, intractable, problems getting resolved.
- Stronger, tighter, team performance dynamics.

Balanced with kindness, unreasonable expectations can take people to new heights.

What's your experience been?

Think Different

I love it when there's a seemingly Unreasonable Agenda. The Apple Think Different campaign epitomised this. Just look at the change makers: Albert Einstein: Questioned absolute space-time. Bob Dylan: Reimagined song meanings poetically. Martin Luther King Jr.: Envisioned equality beyond segregation. Richard Branson: Ignored business conventions fearlessly.
