The manager who thought he was better than everyone else.

I had this firsthand. Early in my career. He micromanaged everything

It was frustrating and demotivating.

With hindsight his behaviour came from:
↳ Fear of failure
↳ Strong desire for control
↳ Perfectionism issues
↳ Lack of trust in others’ capabilities
↳ Overconfident he was the best
↳ Belief he 'd accomplish more on his own

But the
attitude:
🤢 created a toxic workplace
🤐 stifled creativity
😵‍💫 limited productivity

In contrast leaders of high-performing teams:
↳ cultivate a culture of trust
↳ set a clear outcome and delegate
↳ encourage creative collaboration

If you want to model this:

- Don't be afraid to ask questions, listen to feedback, and learn from others.

- Admit your vulnerabilities and encourage your openness.

👀 Observe and Learn
- Step back and watch your team to appreciate their skills and perspectives.
